A Lifeguard review will consider the pool programme and lifeguard provision for the sessions identified.
A detailed review of lifeguard arrangements and relevant sections of the pool safety operating procedure (PSOP) will be carried out during the site visit. This focuses on the numbers of lifeguards for programmed and unprogrammed sessions operated at the pool, in line with current industry standards, expectations and experience.
The aim is to make recommendations for improvements in the effectiveness and efficiency (where applicable) of the deployment of lifeguards.
How our QLM Lifeguard Reviews work
The review would need to be undertaken in conjunction with site based staff in order to discuss key issues that impact on lifeguarding levels.
Any operational shortfalls against industry guidance will be reported as identified.
A closing meeting to provide initial feedback.
A written report will identify issues for improvement, guidance on rationalisation of documentation to meet your objectives, training requirements and advice on addressing relevant issues. It will be important to identify corporate as well as site specific improvements.
